Why do people honk at me, despite having my flashers on as I drive slowly to seek a parking spot along the side of the road?

It’s called parallel parking. In searching for a space, I’ve been honked at, even though I have my flashers (hazard lights) on.

Do not people know that when a slowly moving vehicle has its flashers on, this means that it’s going slow for a reason?

So there I am, driving slowly to find a place to parallel park, flashers going, yet the clown behind me honks.

Hello?

When someone has their flashers on, this is their way of telling you that they are willfully moving slowly for a purpose!

It means A) They’re hunting for a parallel parking spot, B) They’re hunting for an address, C) They’re slowing to let someone get into the car, or D) Something’s wrong with their car.

Hello? Why do you honk at them?

Are you too stupid to know what the flashing lights mean? Are you too stupid to see that the driver is looking for a place to parallel park?

I can’t believe how many times this has happened to me. I am very quick to put my flashers on – BEFORE I begin slowing down!

It’s not as though I’m being honked at before I put my flashers on. I put them on BEFORE I begin slowing, as a courtesy and smart move towards other drivers to give them a heads-up.

But I still get the idiots who honk at me. What’s up with this? What’s WRONG with these people?

Are YOU one of these people? Have YOU ever honked at someone whose flashers were on? If so, explain yourself in the comments section.
